A Wee Bit of Sarah.

{one} if you won a trip to Disneyland/world, who would you take with you?That's easy. I would take my sister.
{two} when was the last time you listened to a CD?Yesterday actually. I listened to the audio of a book I am reading for school. This is the first CD I've listened to in awhile. Usually I use the iPod or Pandora.
{three} what spice/seasoning is your favorite?I like my food the way I like my men--HOT. Anything that will bring some spice and heat is okay by me. All of the red chili pepper powders make me want to give high fives out to my friends.
{four} if you were in a band, what kind of music would you play?I would want to play the harpsichord or the tambourine or the ukulele. Those are my top instrument picks. I feel like my band would be pretty popular and spectacular based on that selection.
{five} if you could have personally witnessed one historical event, which one would it be?Heavy question. The space geek in me chooses being in Apollo 11 when the first humans land on the Moon. I probably would have pushed Neil Armstrong out of the way so that I could have been the first to walk on the moon. And then I would scream with excitement but there would be no sound. Then my mind would be totally blown and I would do moon walks of joy across the Sea of Tranquility.I mean, really. How did they decide who was going to be the first to step foot on the moon? Rock, paper, scissors? I bet Buzz was pissed that he lost.
Also, I would have enjoyed being on the ark with Noah and seeing all of the animals come two by two. That would have been amazing seeing everything from alpacas to kookaburras to tarsiers. I love all the animal children.

{six} if you could go back to school, what would you study?I'm really happy with my career choice. I love being a teacher.I would enjoy taking some extra courses though, like writing and photography classes. That would be fun.
{seven} if you could go to one sporting event, all expenses paid, which one would you see?Eh. I don't really know. Sports Shmorts. Maybe the Super Bowl just so I could see the halftime show. The atmosphere would be really fun. I would eat the heck out of some stadium food too.
{eight} do you drive an automatic or a manual?I drive an automatic. I've never attempted a manual. It would probably be disastrous.
{nine} are you comfortable speaking in front of people?It's not my favorite thing, but I'll do it. I teach, so I'm comfortable with the little guys. It's the big people that are scarier and more intimidating. I think I used to be braver when I was in high school. During my senior year, I did a few speaking engagements about disability awareness. The largest group I spoke in front of was around 300 people.
{ten} have you ever experienced an earthquake?I sure did wake up from one that happened up in Indiana a couple years ago. The things on my nightstand were bouncing around and I got up out of bed and ran towards my kitchen. Every dish in my cabinets were rattling. Slightly exhilarating. I believe an earthquake is headed my areas way courtesy of the New Madrid fault. It's only a matter of time. Rest easy, friends.

A Wee Bit of Sarah.

{one} scruffy or clean shaven?Mmm. I like scruff. If a man can pull off scruff, it sure is a sexy thing. Some guys can do the scruffy face/longer hair combo and it's beyond hot. Makes this girl a little weak in the knees. 

Some guys, like Spencer Pratt, just shouldn't be able to grow facial hair. Lawsee. The unkempt mountain man homeless look is not hot. 
And the hair on his face looks like it's the exact texture as the hair on his head. Gross.

{two} what’s your favorite sundae topping?Typically I just like plain ice cream. However, if I was invited to an ice cream sundae party (which would be the best party ever), I'd probably load my ice cream up with the works. Basically because it would be there and free for the taking. I'd load my ice cream up with hot fudge, sprinkles, whipped cream, maybe some chopped nuts if I'm feeling a little crazy and a cherry on top.

{three} do you own slippers?I own several pairs of slippers.  I'm sure my collection doesn't compare to the amount of slippers that Snooki probably has, but I have a decent amount.
{four} did you ever have a tree house?No. I always wanted one.My parents probably didn't give us one for a reason. If we'd had a tree house, we would've had all the neighborhood kids at our house. Hmm. Smart parents.
{five} how you do relieve stress?Punch someone in the face.
Now here's my real answer. I tend to stress a lot even when it's not always necessary. To relieve stress, I eat (a lot of things that are bad for me), sleep (as an avoidance technique), shop (retail therapy), have a drink or several (this one explains itself) or pour myself into my work (to busy myself and keep my mind off things).
{six} what’s your favorite Dr. Seuss book?I do a Dr. Seuss unit along with every other teacher in America, but I'm really not a huge Dr. Seuss fan. There are soooooo many other quality children's books and authors that I like to focus on so much more than Seuss. I've never really understood the Dr. Seuss mania. Apparently he didn't even like kids. You know, I'm a pretty peculiar and weird girl, so I feel like I should be able to appreciate Seuss' stuff, but, no. I just don't really get it. I feel like his stuff is beyond being quirky or weird. The man had to have been doing some serious drugs or living in some other dimension.
I really do enjoy Wacky Wednesday because it's wacky and there are silly pictures. It's a fun book to read with my kids. Green Eggs and Ham is a good one too. Beyond that, I can take 'em or leave 'em.
{seven} have you ever taken dance classes?When I was little I took ballet, tap, jazz, and gymnastics. I did that for several years through elementary school. Tap was always my favorite. I'd love to take an adult tap class. 
{eight} which do you use more: the thesaurus or the dictionary?The dictionary. I don't wnt to mispell stuf.
{nine} what’s your favorite form of exercise?Exercise? I've never seen or heard of this word before. Sorry. I'm lost.
{ten} what’s the longest you’ve ever waited in line?I really don't enjoy standing in line, but I'll do it for food or an amusement park ride. I have to know that the payoff is going to be worth it in the end before I'd wait forever. 

Wee Bit of Me Wednesday.

{one} what color is your kitchen?It's a terra cotta color. I didn't really like it when I moved into my house because I was a bit afraid of color. It quickly grew on me and now I love it. It's different and fun. Like me.

P to the S- This isn't my house. It appears to be some strangers bathroom. I'm just using the picture off Southern Living.com to show the paint color. Basically because it was too much effort to get off the couch to take a picture of my own Terra Cotta wall and download it and all that jazz. You feel me? Am I feeling lazy this evening? Perhaps I am. 

{two} do you have a good luck charm?No. I feel like that would be dumb.
{three} do you prefer to write with a pen or pencil?Pens. I actually needed a pencil last night and couldn't find one in my house.
{four} can you use chopsticks?I don't even try to use chopsticks. I stick to forks and spoons. I know those guys.
{five} do you prefer baths or showers?Showers.
{six} what is your favorite salad dressing?This depends on the type of salad. I love caesar salads, so of course I'd have caesar dressing on that. I've always loved Italian dressing.
{seven} can you sing the alphabet backwards?Can't say I've ever tried. I'd have to go really slow if I did. My brain doesn't think backwards.
{eight} do you have any allergies?When I had my allergy test, the only thing I was allergic to was dust and dust mites. Sick. It came up as a severe allergy. That means change sheets often and vacuum all the time. Everything else was just fine, so nothing severe. Luckily no food allergies. Praise the Lord. Oh, and I'm also allergic to nickel, but I feel like that's fairly common. I can't wear any jewelry or belts (the belt buckle is what bothers me) containing nickel.
{nine} crunchy or creamy peanut butter?Creamy. Jif is my favorite peanut butter. I love PBJs.
{ten} have you ever hitch hiked?Heck no. I watch too many Lifetime movies to attempt that mess. Lifetime has about made me too afraid to do anything. Including dating.

{one} do you wear holey jeans? if so, do you buy them that way?I have one pair of holey jeans. I've had them since college. Now I only wear them for our school Decades day (hippie style). I'm probably too old to wear them for any other reason.

{two} do you get a full 8 hours of sleep per night?Um, no. I usually get five or six. I go to bed late. Usually between midnight and 1:00.
{three} what’s your favorite way to eat an Oreo?I don't really eat Oreo's that much. If I have one, I twist them apart and do that whole bit.
{four} do you wear shoes in your house?No. I take my shoes off as soon as I get home. 
{five} who would you call first if you won the lottery?I'd get a bullhorn and climb up on my roof and literally shout it from the rooftop for all to hear. Then I'd call my Dad. That'd probably be the happiest day of his life...to hear that I might finally be a little financially stable.
{six} have you ever been in a food fight?Well, not really. The closest thing was at a middle school camp. My group and I always sat at a long table in front of a huge window. This window went from floor to ceiling. One day we all threw our hot ham and cheeses and pineapple slices at the window to see if they'd stick. They did and then they'd slide all the way down the window. We got in trouble.
{seven} do you snore?I hope not.
{eight} do you know how fast you type?I took keyboarding classes during 8th and 9th grades. I was a pretty fast little typer. I don't know the exact wpm. I'm probably not as fast as I used to be.
{nine} can you do a headstand (without using a wall)?The only one I can do is in the shallow end of a pool.
{ten} how do you like your popcorn?I don't eat popcorn at home. The only time I really eat it is when I'm at a movie. That stuff is good.

A Wee Bit of Me Wednesday.

This is my first time to link up with Leigh. I really enjoyed answering these questions. Fun stuff.

{one} what is your favorite breakfast food?I'm really not a breakfast eater. Never really have been. The few times I eat breakfast I like fast food items (of course). I love Chick-fil-A's chicken biscuit and McDonald's country ham biscuit. So good they're stupid.

{two} how many pairs of shoes do you currently own?I have SO many shoes. Over 100 pairs. This is not an estimation. It's close to an exact count. Once I counted just my flip-flops and had over 50 pairs. I was curious amount how many other shoes I own, so I just went back to my closet to do a rough count. I have approximately 70 pairs of other shoes (tennis shoes, boots, sandals, flats, wedges, heels). I lurve shoes.

{three} city or country?Country is more my style. I love visiting a large city but could never live in one. I'm not cut out for city life. I like my town. It's like Baby Bear's stuff from Goldilocks and the Three Bears--it's just right. We've got Nashville just 45 minutes south if I need a city fix. I love some country though. There was nothing better than spending time on my grandparents farm when I was growing up. Everyone should be exposed to wide-open spaces every now and then. It's good for the soul.

{four} what is your favorite part of your job?I have three favorites about my job:1.)My students. I love my group of kids this year. They are so much fun. They have huge personalities and are funny little people. They make me laugh each day. 2.)My teaching assistant. She's my right hand woman. She balances me out in the classroom and has strengths where I am sometimes lacking. I'm with her 7 hours a day, 5 days a week. It's a good thing we like each other.3.)My teaching team. I love these ladies. I mentioned them in my What I'm Loving Wednesday post below.

{five} what is your favorite junk food to snack on?Cheese (mainly pepper jack), banana peppers, and pepperoni. That's my standard snack trio when I'm at home. I also have a pretty serious love affair with ice cream and all things chocolate. Okay. Really I eat anything and everything.

{six} have you ever been mentioned in the newspaper?Yes. I've had stories done on me twice. Embarrassed.
The first article was a story about my cat, Piper (she is no longer living). This was my childhood cat that I adored and had for 18 years. During the last year of her life, she some how ended up in a town 30 miles away. Still have no idea how she got there. The newspaper heard about our story and dubbed her the 'traveling cat'. A person in the town 30 miles up the interstate found her in the Wal-Mart parking lot and then took her home to care for her and find who she belonged to...but not before stopping at Wendy's to order Piper some chicken nuggets. I can't make this stuff up.Anyway, the story ended happily. We got her back and she lived out the last few months of her life happily at home. The picture that was featured in the newspaper along with the story was kinda cheesy. Okay, really cheesy. It's me holding Piper and my family and ex-fiance are all standing (more like creeping) in the background. 
The second article was done on the first day of school my first year of teaching. Front page, baby. The article was "Starting school again: New teacher begins at elementary alma mater". Yes. Breaking news. I am now teaching where I went to elementary school. Obviously our town is desperate for news events. That day was crazy. It was my first ever day teaching. I had 24 kindergarteners, crying parents, a journalist taking notes on every word I said (not knowing what moronic phrases he was going to quote and put in the paper)  and a photographer snapping pictures every few seconds all in my classroom at once. I knew then that if I could survive all that, I'd make it with this teaching thing.This article actually hangs in my classroom, so I snapped a picture of it today.

{seven} do you use post-it notes?Heck yes I do. I'm a teacher. I use them daily at school.
When I'm at home, I use the 'notes' app on my iPhone. I burn that thing up. I jot notes about everything in it. A listing of restaurant Happy Hours to blog ideas to shopping lists. If a post-it note goes in my purse...it gets lost forever. Having my "notes" on my phone guarantees that they're in one place. Best app ever.

{eight} do you have freckles?A few have popped up during the past couple years due to my time in the sun. Souvenirs from the sun.

{nine} is it okay for men to wear pink?I admire a guy that has the guts to wear pink. I like a pink collared shirt on a guy. A light pink though. Not hot pink.

{ten} when was the last time you wrote a letter to someone on paper?I've actually written letters within the past year to a couple people but then never passed them on to the recipients. I think it's more of a way for me to get out my feelings. I express myself better when I'm writing. Once I get it out for myself, I'm cool.I also wrote a letter to a guy that was going to be my supposed pen pal about a year and a half ago. It was his idea to be pen pals. I wrote him. He never wrote me back. Lame.
