Okay. On to listing smells that I find to be quite delicious:
- Plastic. Think opening a new kids toy. Ahh.
- New shoes. Mmm. Sniffing a shoe box (especially filled with a new pair of tennis shoes) is delightful. Shoes make me high.
- New clothes. That store smell is to die for.
- Clean linens. Clean sheets are for winners.
- The smell of the car ac first coming on--this is a weird smell but I like it.
- Skunks. They stink so bad that they smell good.
- Rosemary Mint Shampoo. It opens up the nostrils.
- Striking a match
- Country air on a summer night
- New car smell
- Anything coconut and pineapple scented
- Baby skin and hair. Not their bottoms though--those are usually stinky.
- Johnson's Baby Lotion. This is my daily lotion of choice.
- Gas fumes
- Men. Men smell delicious. Plus I love all men's shower gel and deodorant.
- Icy Hot
- The inside of books
- Meat. Mmm. Meaty.
- Bleach. I love the smell of clean.
- Riley's Bakery. This is a local bakery. I would pay them money to let me just sit and sniff their air all day. The air is a deliciousness mixture of bread, Crisco, and icing. Heaven in the air. And, well, I'd also pay them money because I would buy up a variety of their baked goods to eat as I sat in the bakery and sniffed all day. There would be no sense in sitting there sniffing and drooling. Might as well eat while I'm enjoying the aroma at length.
- A brewed tea bag
- Daisy Mae's paws--please read explanation below so that you're not frightened.
This is a smell that I find to be interesting. Maybe you are neat and you find it interesting too. Don't unfollow me just because I admitted to know the smell of my dogs paws. I find dog paws to smell like corn chips. Now I don't sit and just sniff Daisy's paws. I can just smell it when she's beside me wanting me to rub her. The smell travels up to my nostrils so it's unavoidable. And one day I thought, "Hey, her paws smell like something in my pantry. What could it be? Oh yes. Fritos." If you've never sniffed your dogs paws, well, shame on you. Now call your furry child over to you this instant and sniff. See. Fritos. Dogs have Frito Feet. Unless your dog just came in from outside and stepped in its own doo. Then they won't smell like corn chips. Sorry. And you'll probably need to get some wipes and clean those paws. {gag reflex kicking in}
Now that everyone thinks I'm a ginormous freak, this would probably be a good time to wrap this list up.
My wish for you on this day is that you encounter many smells that make you say, "Ahh".
Sniff away, friends. Sniff away.
