Mr. Sun is going to have to make a grand appearance this weekend and do a lot of melting so we can get back in school on Monday.
I may not have worked today, but here's what I did do...
I met up with my bloggy buddy, Paige for a lunch date. We've emailed back and forth for the past month and a half or so but today was our first meeting of in real life friendship. She lives in the town over from me and was going to be in BG today. Since I don't ever seem to work anymore, we were able to meet up. She was as great in person as I knew she'd be. We pretty much talked about everything. Including earthquakes. Glad we got to meet in real life. Fun times.
This evening I did a little babysitting. Making a few extra dolla bills is always a good thing. I've been watching this little one since she was a newborn. It's been pretty neat seeing how quickly she's grown and changed. It sure happens quickly. While I don't feel like I'm the greatest with really little ones, I always have a nice sense of accomplishment at the end of the night. If I can successfully feed, bathe, and get the child to sleep, I'm feeling like a rockstar. Heck, if I can feed, bathe, and get myself to sleep, I'm feeling like a rockstar.
Seriously though, this rockstar was exhausted. I don't see how you mom's do it. I can handle 20 some 5-6 year olds all day in my classroom, but you give me one baby...forget it. I'm out. I can't hang.
I'm a shower kind of girl and rarely take baths. Tonight I thought a bath sounded like a fun treat. It was actually pretty relaxing. I even had bubbles. Maybe I'll take one again in a year or two.
I've sure been thinking a lot about the Justin Bieber movie today. I'm jealous of everyone that went to see it on this opening day. I like that kid. Not in a creepy way that will get me locked up in a jail cell. I just like him and his songs and his hair. I really would like to go see his movie though. I'm sure half the girls in my class are seeing it this weekend and I need to see it so that I'll be able to contribute my two cents to the Bieber fever movie conversation.
Well, that's all I've got for now. Thanks for reading even when I write posts like this about unemployment and Justin Bieber and bubble baths.
