Word of the day.

Today the word of the day has been: mired. I have used this word as much as possible. Everything has been 'mired up', even if it didn't necessarily apply. Example: "Your rug is all mired up." Well, the rug doesn't have mud on it. It's not covered in splatters. It just sounds fun and neat and is part of my word of the day game, so I say it.

I like to pick a silly, fun, sometimes Southern-ish word to use. The more bizarre and uncommon the word, the more fun. Duh. I mainly play this game with my family. Others probably wouldn't get the whole fun or participate in my reindeer games.

Just call me Jay.

I've kinda been a lazy blogger lately. I'm going to do the Jay-Z thing and come out of retirement. Blogging retirement, that is. So, to all my Reader McReaderson's: it's time for me to come out of this blogcoma that I've been in and begin sharing my intelligent tidbits with you once more. You're welcome. You are so welcome.

I got burned by a 5 year old.

I asked one of my students that sits in very close proximity to my desk if he released a stinky substance from his body. He laughed and said, "NO!" I said, "Well, what is that smell then?" He says, "Maybe your breath is coming back to your nose."

Bicycle! Bicycle!

I've kinda taken a liking to this bicycle. It's a comfort cruiser. It's pink. I could put a basket on it. Also a bell. I would pedal down the sidewalks of my neighborhood while whistling and ringing my bell. It would be glorious. It's available at walmart.com for $99. That's a steal, my friends. I like it.

During the first full week of school, our theme was All About Me. The students decorated a face and t-shirt combination to represent themselves. This is what I got from one of my students. I must say, I was a bit scared of "him"...
