A whole buncha random in yo face.

Shoo, buddy. Today was a long day. I just made it home for the day at 9:30. I'm tired and it's only Monday. I'm afraid it's going to be a long week. School was crazy and hectic today, but tonight was good. It was good for my soul. Tonight I went over to my Granny D's house to celebrate her birthday. This is my Granny that was just in the hospital last week. She is doing so well. Thanks for all the sweet comments and prayers. Blog buddies are the best. Seriously. All of your comments made me feel the love.
She was her normal Granny self tonight and was as energetic as ever. Granny loves The Bachelor, which completely cracks me up. She gets really into it. You don't mess with her Bachelor Monday nights. After we finished dinner we gathered 'round the tv to watch. When Michelle (the crazy) appeared on the tv, I told Granny she was my favorite and I loved her. She yelled, "Oh, Say-ruh, NO!" Hilarious. She knew I was really joking which made it even better. It was a good night. I loved spending time with my family and I'm so thankful my Granny is doing well. I got my belly very full, had family time, watched smut tv, and cut out a lot of groundhogs for a game for my students. Completing all of that in one evening made me feel like a winner.
Me and my Granny D. I feel like I'm towering over her in this picture. Gigantor.
We weren't quite ready in this one. Who knows what I'm laughing about. Granny looks super serious.
I have a huge touch of spring fever right now. This past weekend we had temps around 60. This sounds completely stupid, but I felt more alive over the weekend than I have in months. Warmer weather makes me feel so much more like myself. Cold sucks. It's depressing. Winter is dumb.
What is it good for? Absolutely nothing. Say it again, y'all.

I just wanted to be outside during the weekend. In all reality, it was still a chilly day, but compared to the temperatures lately, it felt like 80 degrees. I put Daisy Mae's harness on her and we busted out of this place and went for a long walk. The joy on my little dog's face was the bee's knees.
I love to walk her because this is my view. Corgis have the best butts. They're referred to as "bunny butts".

It was a great, relaxing weekend. Ran some errands. Did a little shopping. Hung out with a couple of girlfriends. Went to my first high school ten year reunion planning committee meeting--man, that's a mouthful. I've been appointed Treasurer, by the way. This could be dangerous.
I finished off the weekend by going and getting ice cream as my dinner...because I can and I live by no rules.

In other news, I'm going to try to do a little matchmaking. I've found a girl for my younger brother. She might just happen to be my new university student observing in my classroom for the semester. I just might have casually dropped the fact that I have a college-age brother in our conversation a couple different times today. This is my secret project for the semester.

Also. I'm really in a dilemma about my hair. I had a bob haircut for years and years and years. I started growing it out this past summer. I'm not minding the long (to me) hair right now. I don't love it but I don't hate it. My dilemma involves my hair color. It's time for me to get my highlights touched up again. They're looking rough. I can go back and add more fake blonde to the mix, but I've thought about stripping my hair and going back to my natural hue. I'd be much darker. I can't decide. Thoughts?

  1. Sooo glad that your Granny D is much, much better and that you got to celebrate her birthday! Too funny about her comment on the Bachelor ;-) I've always wanted to dye my hair a pretty chocolate color, but I think I'd "dye" (hehe) of shock. Mine has been strawberry blonde my whole life. Have a great day! :-)

I'd love to have 60 degree weather! I think I'd stay outside all day!

Family times is the sweetest. I love how you put "Say-ruh" just like she would of pronounced it. She is such a pretty lady =)
