Lost Lucy's Lookout

I went to Gatlinburg over the weekend for my dear friend's Bachelorette shindig. We stayed in a cabin way, way, way up on a mountain. The cabin's name was Smokey Top Seduction. I don't really know how they decided on that name. Nothing about that place made me want to seduce or be seduced. There were 44 stuffed animals and fake butterflies (some hiding sneakily and some out in the open) scattered throughout the cabin. They also had a giant fake tree (complete with colored lights) in the middle of the kitchen/living room area. It really made the whole cabin-y experience complete. I can't even begin to imagine how the original owners thought putting that tree up was a good idea. "You know what would really make this place killer? A giant tree that we can cover with colored Christmas lights and stuffed bears and bird houses. Yeah, that would be great!"
Oh, and apparently this place was haunted too. By a ghost named Lucy. There was a journal for guests to record their "experiences" with Lucy. There weren't too many entries. The story is that Lucy and a friend were playing out in the woods "hoopin' and hollerin'" and Lucy never came back. Pretty scary ghost story. The cabin was pretty entertaining. It was a fun and memorable trip, for sure.

Here are some pictures for your enjoyment:

Here's a picture of all the girls. Of course we had to center the picture around the great tree. We couldn't get a clear picture of all of us. All the pictures we took looked smokey. I think the ghost of Lucy was interfering...
This is the lovely tree. Notice the fake bear and beehive. Pretty special.
